PANalytical Epsilon System Inspector & Telemetry Analysis
Automatic online analysis of your system using our proprietary algorithms.
C:\PANalytical\Epsilon3\Userdata\Gain<DY-Number>.mdb(whereDY-Numberis your instrument's DY serial number, e.g.,Gain9228.mdb— orC:\PANalytical\Epsilon4\Userdata\Gain<DY-Number>.mdb)C:\PANalytical\Epsilon3\Logs\InstrumentLog*.csv(Hardware & interlock event logs)C:\PANalytical\Epsilon3\Controller\*SystemValues*.txt&*XSafeValues*.txt(Continuous sensor & safety logs)
C:\PANalytical\Epsilon3 directory (or drag and drop everything into the box below). Our analyzer automatically pulls out Gain<DY-Number>.mdb and the log files, ignores unrelated program files, and analyzes whatever data you have available—even if you only have one or two files.

Epsilon Benchtop Telemetry & Service FAQ
Key information regarding our free diagnostic tool, data privacy, and service boundariesWhere do I find the files on my Epsilon PC, and what if I only have one or two files?
Look in C:\PANalytical\Epsilon3\Userdata\Gain<DY-Number>.mdb (where DY-Number is your instrument serial number), C:\PANalytical\Epsilon3\Logs\InstrumentLog*.csv, and C:\PANalytical\Epsilon3\Controller\*SystemValues*.txt / *XSafeValues*.txt. You can also just select the entire C:\PANalytical\Epsilon3 folder—our system automatically pulls out the usable files and rejects everything else. If you only have one or two files, we will analyze those and note where diagnostic detail is limited.
Is this online diagnosis really 100% free?
Yes. Zero fee, no login, no paywall. Upload your files anytime to evaluate instrument health trends.
Can I ship my broken Epsilon benchtop spectrometer to RDS for repair?
Yes. We accept ship-in benchtop units for evaluation and repair. We troubleshoot hardware and test circuits at the board level. We cannot guarantee every repair, but we will thoroughly evaluate it and try. All repairs are done at component level or with customer-supplied parts under Right to Repair.
Does RDS sell or stock replacement parts for Epsilon benchtop spectrometers?
No. We do not sell or stock replacement parts for Epsilon machines. For Epsilon benchtops, we provide this free online diagnostic tool, annual on-site Preventive Maintenance (PM), basic repairs using customer-supplied parts, and ship-in board-level evaluations.
What does this diagnostic report tell me?
It plots detector resolution (FWHM), tube output, gain stability, and chamber temperatures over time. If a detector is drifting, cooling is failing, or high-voltage output is dropping, you see the trend before the spectrometer fails during a run.
Why does RDS offer this diagnostic tool?
We believe labs should have full visibility into their own instrument data. Tracking hardware trends helps you plan maintenance on your own schedule instead of reacting to emergency shutdowns.
Need Epsilon Preventive Maintenance or Ship-In Benchtop Repair?
We travel nationwide for on-site PM service and accept ship-in benchtop units for reverse engineering evaluation at our facility. Call our experts directly: 630.229.3859
