No. In the United States, the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of 1975 makes it illegal for manufacturers to void a warranty simply because you used a third-party for service or parts. The OEM would have to prove that our service or parts directly caused the failure. This is a key part of your Right to Repair.

Yes. RDS specializes in Malvern Panalytical Zetium repair, routine maintenance, and emergency unbricking across the USA. When a Zetium locks up with communication failures (such as SuperQ reporting 'Cannot find spectrometer' or NIOS LEDs blinking rapidly), the failure typically traces to the Single Board Computer (SBC) or the NIOS board. The OEM typically quotes a complete assembly replacement with weeks of crippling lab downtime, but RDS can fix both the SBC and NIOS boards! We focus on your production uptime and prompt service, using proprietary unbricking tools to restore the communication stack quickly on-site. We also maintain in-stock replacement SBCs, NIOS boards, and Spectrometer Cards for immediate same-day dispatch.
If SuperQ displays 'Cannot find spectrometer' or 'Cannot connect to instrument', first verify your service PC network adapter is set to 192.168.0.100 and check cables and Windows firewalls. Next, inspect the backpanel NIOS LEDs. If NIOS Status LEDs 1 and 2 are blinking rapidly or the Single Board Computer (SBC) has frozen, the SBC or NIOS board is locked up. We can fix both the SBC and the NIOS board! Rather than enduring weeks of halted production waiting for an OEM service queue, contact RDS for our prompt on-site unbricking protocol or same-day replacement hardware.
